Wine Tourism in the Côtes de Bordeaux; the prettiest vineyards of Bordeaux

Visiting Bordeaux’s ‘côtes’  is an excellent ‘off-the-beaten track’ choice which offers a mix of things to do around wine throughout the year. Possibly the most welcoming and dynamic wine tourism regions where you will meet the actual winemaker and his family.

Côtes de Bordeaux: Castillon, Blaye, Francs, Cadillac

DSC_0759 F10A09The Union of the existing four appellations in 2009, of what is called today called the Côtes de Bordeaux, brought together regions that produce supple, fruity wines from predominantly the Merlot grape, grown on sunny vineyards located on the right banks of Bordeaux’s rivers, the Garonne and the Dordogne.

Le vignoble Bordelais

These wines are produced by a dynamic band of winemakers who run their vineyards ‘en famille’ from generation to generation and have a evident lust and passion for what they do.

The four appellations within the Union de Côtes de Bordeaux are very active in welcoming wine lovers to visit their beautiful rolling regions and meet the winemaker.
