Ploughing in St Emilion with horse power

‘Surprise’ the one tonne Pecheron horse at work in the heart of St Emilion during the ‘primeurs’. The heatwave over the past ten days and the general lack of rainfall over the winter months has made the conditions very dry. Beautiful sunny conditions welcomed the world wine trade and press to Bordeaux to start the ‘primeurs’ tastings when the 2011 is tasted and judged. Rain is forecast for the rest of the week.
